Buying NatureBright SunTouch Plus Light and Ion Therapy Lamp

The product is (nearly) exactly as expected, all bulbs working and intact, sturdy construction. For some reason I expected the ionizer to include a fan, but no biggie. It is very bright! My very first 15-minute session gave me a little headache that resolved before session was complete.

I have used it 2x, and I do feel better but that could be due to a) finally receiving it (vendor was terrible), b) general placebo effect, and/or c) today is a sunny day. My psychiatrist has told me that the effects are cumulative, and that one should really begin in September for full benefits. At any rate, perhaps I will append this after a couple of months.

I do wish it had a timer for when it *starts*, so that I could use it along with my alarm clock to help me get out of bed in the morning (although then I'd have to move it back and forth from my bedroom to my home office each day unless I bought a second one, which is not the fault of the product!)

On my product, yes there is a smell but it is not all-pervasive as described by other reviewers, and it seems to be intermittent. Also, I believe that on my product, the smell is the ionizer, not the lights. I tried just the ionizer without the light, and I did experience the smell, and when only the light is on, I did not.

Overall, I am excited and really hoping that it makes a difference for my SAD and my depression in general, and also for the carb craving and consumption!
